Do you find yourself with an overload of tomatoes from your summer vegetable garden?
Well have I got a delicious recipe for you!
Salsa!!
This is such a good salsa recipe...it is very fresh and very good and it uses lots of those tomatoes!
Fresh Salsa
7 medium tomatoes, finely chopped
1 small red onion, finely chopped
2 Jalapeno peppers, finely chopped
2 Yellow hot peppers, finely chopped
2- 4 ounce cans chopped Ortega chilies,
1 bunch cilantro leaves, finely chopped
1-8ounce can tomato sauce
1 tablespoon garlic salt
Combine all ingredients. Serve immediately. Will keep for one day in the refrigerator.
You can play around with the peppers in this recipe. You can use spicy ones or less spicy ones, depending how how "hot" you like it.
Enjoy!!
